A study published in the February issue of the International Journal of Sports Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism says that drinking chocolate milk after strenuous activity works just as well as Gatorade, and even better than some power drinks currently on the market. So after that 20 lap race, you might want to down a glass of chocolate milk instead of your preferred fancy energy drink.Â
