Monday Morning Grind

Not too much to recap from this past weekend at Nelson.  Wet weather Friday and Saturday with a 3rd place finish in the Middleweight solo race.  Sunday was dry, but I was having some issues getting to the times I had done the previous race weekend where I was closer to the front of the pack, so a minor set back in that regard.

We're off to Grattan this weekend, where WERA is running the track counter-clockwise; a tactic many feel is to nullify the advatange of former GLRRA racers who had a lot of experience at the highly technical Grattan track.  I've raced this direction once on the SV in 2003 and I don't think it's a particular safe track run this way, but I'm going in with the mindset to put some laps in and get up to speed on the 600.  With a short week to prelude this round, it will be a busy next few days to get the bike ready for the weekend.

Thanks to James for his help in the sketchy weather we had to deal with on Saturday.  And a special thanks to JB and Crista (Mattison), who in addition to Gina and Bob (Watson), really helped out on Sunday.

Cheers,

Eddie
