Off to the Races

While not on the WERA schedule, Darren (Womack) and I decided to again do the 3-hour Fasttrax endurance race this upcoming weekend.  We don't have Jim as the third rider like we did last time, so that will alter our rider/pit strategy slightly (more riding for us, which could be a good or bad thing).

Fasttrax doesn't have the array of tire vendors that WERA does, so I ordered a set of tires earlier this week to have shipped to us.  If they don't arrive before we leave later today, we'll be in a bit of trouble.  :)

With my dad's help in the pits, hopefully we'll be able to put on another strong showing.  It will be Darren's second time riding my bike and the bike handles much better than it did in our first outing.  However there will be some faster teams in attendance as well, negating any advantage we may think we have.  Either way, the Fasttrax events are a relaxed way to go out and have some fun racing.  Definitely a nice change of pace once in awhile.  I'll have a full race recap in the Monday Morning Grind next week.
