2008 Yamaha R6 Arrives

We picked up the new R6 from Honda East Saturday morning.  It was an exciting day.  The guys over there made sure the bike arrived as planned – going as far as having someone special deliver it, as it initially wasn't planned to come on the truck. 

As you can see from the Flickr pictures, it came right from the crate, where we took the street bodywork off and then threw it up on the dyno to break it in.  Now it's time to start prepping the bike and getting it race ready.  We also have a 2008 Yamaha Zuma that we'll be modifying (we can't leave anything stock) and using as a pit vehicle during the season.

Things are definitely coming together ..
