Autobahn National Preparations

T-minus 3 hours and counting before we leave for the Chicago area (Joliet more specifically), and our first WERA National of the season.  Gina, my dad (Joe) and myself are making the trip, with James meeting us there late tonight.  The weather forecast looks grim; cold and wet Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  No matter though, as we're ready to mount the rain tires and give it a go.

This weekend appears to be a weekend of firsts.  First time riding the R6 in the rain; first time to actually go through qualifying (WERA added qualifying to the National events this year, which should be pretty cool); and first time riding the Autobahn South course.  It should be a good time, even with the less than stellar weather forecasts (I say that now, let's see how long that attitude lasts :) )

We've got Wi-Fi in the hotel, so I'll try to post updates throughout the weekend on how things are going, along with anything else potentially interesting.
