Injury Update

I went and saw the doctor yesterday and had some fresh x-rays taken.  Essentially I won't be able to ride for another 4-6 weeks.  The bone isn't fully healed in several places and given how crumpled and shattered it was, the doc just won't give me the okay to ride. 

With him being team doctor for multiple pro-sports team (currently the Tigers and Pistons, along with motorcycle racers as well), I'm somewhat inclined to listen to him – as much as I'd rather blow it off and just go out and race.  I do believe he's the kind of doctor that deals with semi-aggressive treatments and players/athletes needing to get back to play sooner rather than later, so he knows the position I'm in and how much I want to ride.  I think it also speaks that he said this was the second worst collarbone surgery he's ever done.  The fact of the matter is when I go out there, I'm not going out with the intent of circulating – I will be going out with the intent to win and place well, so my current status don't really go well with that objective at the moment.

So plans for the year continue to be on hold …
